Rolly, Frank & Harold Perry
On Monday August 27th Frank De Jong, along with Rolly Montpellier visited the North Frontenac, Robertsville site and showed his support for the Ardoch Algonquin and Sharbot Obaadjiwan First Nation' ongoing protest against Frontenac Ventures corp. The mining exploration company want to test drill for uranium on the bands' ancestral territory, which is the subject of ongoing land claim negotiations.

De Jong and Montpellier spoke to Harold Perry, honorary chief of the Ardoch Algonquins and John Kittle from the Community Coalition Agaist Mining Uranium (CCAMU) www.ccamu.ca .

In front of a group fifty people he called for:

       * A moratorium on uranium prospecting and mining in Ontario.
       * Modernizing of the mining act, which hasn't been revised since 1880, to include subsurface rights with the title of land.
       * Settlement of the First Nation land claims.

Frank de Jong is the first political party leader to visit the site.  Rolly Montpellier gave John Kittle a letter of his support and committment to there being no uranium exploration and mining.
